Our dental practice was established in beautiful Santa Barbara in 1984. We provide the highest quality dentistry in a caring environment.
Dr. Johansen has lived in Santa Barbara since 1968. He attended local Jr. High, High School, and Santa Barbara City College. He then moved to San Diego where he attended San Diego State University. He received a bachelor degree in Biology in 1980. Dr. Johansen went on study dentistry at Washington University School of Dental Medicine and received his dental degree in 1984.
Dr. Johansen has studied forensic dentistry and has been a forensic dental consultant for the Santa Barbara County Coroner’s office for the last 15 years. He has lectured on the subject of forensic dentistry and published a book on computer-aided bite mark analysis.
Dr. Johansen is married with 3 children (ages 25, 18 and 13 yrs.) and one grand-daughter (3yrs.)
In his spare time, Dr. Johansen enjoys golfing with his friends, spending time with his family and riding his motorcycle.
